It is with great sadness I report to you that the AFAA-NE has lost a great and loyal member of the board.
Mr. Anthony "Tony" Shalna has passed on.
A long time member of the Board of Directors, he was President of the Chapter for many years and the Board's only Director Emeritus.
Please join us in wishing his wife Joanne and his extended family and friends peace in the knowledge that he indeed lived a life well spent...

On Saturday Oct. 26th I attended the dedication Ceremony for the FI Fire Academy's Fallen Firefighter Memorial. A part of that was a plaque in honor of FCI founder Frank Carideo by his friends at King FIsher Company, in which he had an interest until his death. As a long time employee of FCI, a family member of Mr. Carideo's along with my career in fire protection, this was a moving ceremony that touched me on many levels. I hope you enjoy the photos.
