Our hearts are heavy. 💙
In the wake of yesterday’s heartbreaking tragedy in Wichita, we stand alongside our neighboring first responder agencies, the McPherson community, and every family or attendee whose life has been forever changed by the horrific things they did, saw, or experienced.
As first responders, we know there are calls that stay with us long after the scene is cleared. Some days, the weight of this profession is heavier than words can express. This time, there are community members that feel that same weight, making it seem all the heavier.
To the Sedgwick County EMS crews, firefighters, dispatchers, law enforcement officers, and all those who responded: we see you, we support you, and we stand beside you.
To the families grieving unimaginable loss, our hearts are with you.
