💙Blue Jay Blurb 💙

Ms. Hadeel’s 7th grade ELA class is nearing the end of their Fever 1793 unit! 📖💙

For one of their final assignments, students were tasked with researching another epidemic throughout history and comparing its causes, symptoms, treatments, and societal and political responses to the yellow fever epidemic they’ve been reading about.

Students did a wonderful job researching, gathering evidence, putting information into their own words, and making connections between the two epidemics. Working with their peers, they created informative and creative slideshows to present their findings to the class!

This was a great opportunity for students to take what they’ve learned through literature and connect it to real historical events! 💙

💙🐦 What makes Mrs. Miles so great? Our Blue Jays had A LOT to say!

In celebration of National Principals Month, we asked our students, faculty, and staff to share what makes Mrs. Miles so special to them, and their answers say it all! 🥹💙

Mrs. Miles, we hope this video gives you even a glimpse of how loved and appreciated you are by the people who fill our halls every day. You’ve made a lasting difference in so many lives, and we hope you know just how much you mean to our entire Blue Jay family! 💙🐦
