When the mayor of a neighboring community—the very community we originally tried to model our flowers after—calls to tell us they officially have “Marshall Flower Envy,” we know we got something right! 😉🌸🙌
We’ve heard from so many community members who are just as excited as we are about our beautiful hanging flowers, and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they’ve transformed our Downtown spaces this year! 🌺💐🌼
A HUGE thank you to City employee Brian Baugher and his team for their diligent care, hard work, and dedication to keeping our flowers looking beautiful all season long. 👏🌷
Our flowers may be creating a little envy in neighboring communities, but they’re creating A LOT of pride right here at home! ❤️🏡🌸

The City of Marshall will be Oil and Chipping City Streets September 24th and 25th. This application is done by spraying oil on the street and covering the oil with chipped gravel. During these projects, the streets will be closed for approximately 30-60 minutes. Workers will coordinate with residents, so vehicles are permitted to pass. Please avoid these areas if possible.
If anyone at your residence parks a vehicle on the street, please move the vehicle(s) off the street beginning September 23rd until the work is complete. Please refer to attached map. We will proceed in the following order:

🚨 Public Notice: Hydrant Flushing Begins October 5th 🚨
The Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout town starting October 5th as part of routine system maintenance.
During this process, you may notice a temporary chlorine smell in your water. This is completely normal and safe — there is no impact on the quality or safety of your drinking water.
Hydrant flushing helps maintain water clarity, quality, and system performance. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep our water system running smoothly.
