From the Lyon County Veteran Services
Saturday, October 3, is Minnesota Veteran Su***de Prevention and Awareness Day. The Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers joins communities across the state in remembering the Veterans we have lost and standing with their families, friends, and fellow service members.
To every Minnesota Veteran: you do not have to face a difficult time alone. Check in with someone you served with. Reach out to a Veteran in your community. Listen without judgment, and help them connect with support.
If you or a Veteran you care about needs help, call 988 and press 1 to reach the Veterans Crisis Line, or text 838255. Free, confidential support is available 24/7, even if you are not enrolled in VA health care.
Minnesota’s County Veterans Service Officers are here to help Veterans, families, and survivors navigate benefits and connect with resources. Let’s keep looking out for one anotherβ€”today and every day.

♻️ Empty oil containers are NOT recyclable.

Even when they're empty, used motor oil containers don't belong in
your recycling cart or at a community recycling drop site. Residue from
the oil contaminates other recyclables and can ruin an entire batch.

πŸ—‘οΈ Empty oil containers are trash only.

What to do with them:
- Place them in your own household trash
- If you don't have trash service, residents and businesses may
self-haul to the Lyon County Landfill

A fee will be applied to trash brought to the landfill.

Recycle right. Keep it clean. Thank you for helping keep our recycling
program strong!
