Cedar Valley elite member and staff, Greg, with a monster doe management harvest the last week of regular fi****ms season 2015 on one of our smaller hunting properties in WMU 6S, less than one mile from Cedar Valley Lodge. Upon field dressing, we discovered this deer to have been consuming large amounts of corn and soybean which are prominent farm crops surrounding the area. It was a perfect explanation as to the massive size of this deer. Greg took this deer from a stand at 20 yards with a Re*****on 30-.06 using Wi******er ammunition. Pictured on the bottom is the same deer hoisted up an hour after harvesting with me standing next to it to show the massive body size.

Our guest Eddy taking his first ever deer during the evening hunt on opening day, 2014. With minimal shooting time left in the day, we watched this buck chase a doe out into the field right in front of the ground blind that I set us up in. I had been watching deer from this blind since mid-September and had a good feeling that it would produce something in the fi****ms season.
In a perfect world, I would have let this buck walk. Considering the known intense stand hunting and drive hunting pressure going on all around this bordering property, if we had not taken this deer when the perfect opportunity presented itself, I had more than a notion that someone else (or group of drive hunters) would have harvested this deer before the season ended.
This deer was taken with a flat shot at 125 yards with a very nice 30-.06 Browning SS bolt action rifle using 165 grain Federal ammunition. Eddy is originally from Jordan and is a very respectful hunter and an avid shooter and firearm collector.

Here is a great local buck harvest by James Randall from the 2013 regular fi****ms season. This buck was taken less than 10 miles from Cedar Valley Logde in WMU6S in an afternoon hunt at 25 yards with a 30-.06. Jamie is an avid hunter and experienced archer

MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE LODGE . . . . .
All of these were taken on Cedar Valley hunting properties by Sunday morning, 9am. We let several more walk during our weekend pursuit. Have more pics and a great HD blood trail video of my 35 yard freehand running broadside double-lung + heart kill with iron sights ( #3 from left).

YET ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PHEASANT HUNT SPONSORED BY CEDAR VALLEY OUTFITTING!! SATURDAY MORNING NOVEMBER 8th, 2014. 10 SHOT OPPORTUNITIES WITH 9 PHEASANTS TAKEN. Two other pheasants flushed were out of shooting range, one flew over our neighbor's houses which would have been an unsafe shot so we obviously let him go. Great guys again this time and great hunt as well. From L-R: Myself (Joseph Gyurik III), Ethan Page, Jinesh, Rad Smolinski, Rich and John. Special thanks to Lou Misfud, Benelli fi****ms, Federal Heavy Field Ammo and of course most of all, lead bird dog 2 year old German Pointer, Johann (not in photo, he was busy drinking water). We wouldn't have gotten a single one without Johann and he is only in his 2nd season, he will be top dog in another season or two!

20+ lbs Male c**n taken on one of our Northern Tier properties. All of the trail cam photos (fox, coyote), bear track photos and now this year's first fall c**n harvest have come from within a 3 mile radius up in this Northern WMU. All have been of worthy size with great fur pelts even early in the season, this particular area is proving to be very worthy predator grounds. Taken with .25 caliber high-power Benjamin air rifle using 20 grain German hollow-point. 2nd & 3rd picture is my first ever c**n harvest back in 2006, also taken in Northern Tier. Shot was with my Rem 700 30-.06 using 150 grain Wi******er CXP 2 ammo. This one was taken at 45 yards in the dark under a full moon with iron sights, no illumination optics or spotlight. This mature male weighed in at 22.5 lbs., my biggest to date.

A successful pheasant hunt from October 17th of this year at our neighboring ranch that adjoins Cedar Valley Lodge in Marshville / Canajoharie NY. We gave my guests Talat and Ahmad from NYC a first-hand experience of a quality pheasant hunt with 10 year old experienced German Short Haired Pointer, Hansel. Great dog, great people and great hunt all in all.

I'm hosting another guided pheasant hunt this weekend with a different group of guests from NYC; more hunters, more birds and more action!! I have a videographer (also an experienced pheasant hunter) scheduled to record the entire hunt in HD video. We will be trying out 75 rounds of Federal high-base 12 ga. no. 7 1/2 lead shot for the first time as well. We will post some video clips of the hunt early next week
