Throwback Thursday:
Who can tell us who:
Co-founds the Tennessee College Women’s Sports Federation
The Tennessee College Women’s Sports Federation helped lay the foundation for Title IX, the law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in education. She became UTM’s first and only director of women’s athletics, serving until 1994 and leaving an enduring legacy. Honored in multiple Halls of Fame, her name is now etched on the university’s softball field and a female athlete award, recognizing her lifelong dedication to advancing women’s sports.
