Today, the Martinez Police Department joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
This morning, the City of Martinez came together for a special memorial ceremony to honor the nearly 3,000 people who never made it home, the first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed that day.
We are grateful to have shared this meaningful moment of remembrance with our community. Here are a few photos from this morning’s ceremony as we reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those we lost, those who answered the call, and those who continue to carry the weight of that day.
