Ingham Intermediate School District is a regional education service agency and has been in operation since 1962. Our service area extends into seven counties; however, we primarily serve the schools in Ingham County. Ingham ISD's main campus is in Mason, but many of our 350 staff members work directly in local schools and in community settings.

πŸ’™ Great teachers make a lasting impact!

We're proud to see Heartwood School teacher Missy Lilje featured by MI Talent Together! Inspired by the educators who shaped her own journey, Missy now brings that same passion and dedication to her students every day.

🍎 Thank you, Missy, for the care, compassion and commitment you bring to Heartwood School. We're grateful to have you as part of the Ingham ISD team!

🍎 Alumni Highlight: Missy Lilje! πŸ’™

Missy Lilje’s journey into teaching began with the inspiration she found in other educators. Today, she brings that same passion to her work in the SXI Transition Classroom at Heartwood School in Ingham Intermediate School District.

β€œTeaching for me means that I get to immerse myself in the best of humanity. It is a joy and privilege.”

πŸ’»πŸ… Now that's an impressive achievement!

Congratulations to Wilson Talent Center's Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics students Bradley, Paskalis, Sam and Chase! Their team, "Qualified Quartet," was one of just THREE teams out of 80 to complete every cybersecurity challenge at the 2026 Michigan High School Cyber Summit!

πŸ‘ What an incredible demonstration of teamwork, technical skills and problem-solving. We're proud of these students and their outstanding accomplishment!

Mission Accomplished! πŸ’»πŸ…

Eighty teams entered. Only three completed every challenge. And one of them came from Wilson Talent Center!

Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics students Bradley P., Paskalis Z., Sam R. and Chase G. earned medals at the 2026 Michigan High School Cyber Summit after their team, "Qualified Quartet," successfully completed every Hack The Box cybersecurity challenge.

That's some serious problem-solving power!

🚌 It's National School Bus Safety Week!

A school bus with flashing red lights and its stop-arm extended means one thing: STOP!

Here's a quick reminder for motorists:

🟑 Flashing yellow lights: Slow down and prepare to stop.

πŸ”΄ Flashing red lights: Stop and wait until the lights stop flashing and the stop-arm is withdrawn before proceeding when it's safe and legal to do so.

Students depend on drivers to stay alert and follow school bus safety laws. A few moments of patience can make all the difference in keeping students safe!

🏫 It's Safe Schools Week!

At Ingham ISD, the safety of our students and staff is always a top priority. This school year, we've adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to help ensure clear, consistent communication during school emergencies.

The SRP uses five actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter. By practicing these actions during safety drills, students and staff become more familiar with emergency procedures and better prepared to respond when it matters most.

πŸ’š October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month!

Learning disabilities can affect how individuals read, write, process language or understand math, but they don't define a student's intelligence, abilities or potential.

From dyslexia and dysgraphia to dyscalculia and language disorders, understanding different learning needs helps us create more inclusive and supportive educational experiences. πŸ“š

This month, we celebrate the unique strengths of every learner and recognize the educators, families and support professionals who help students build confidence and succeed.
