It's official. The Eagle has landed in Deerfield Township! Representatives from the Thunderdome Restaurant Group officially cut the ribbon opening the doors to its newest restaurant in The District at Deerfield! The Eagle is well known for its house-brined and dredged fried chicken. This 4,500-square-foot restaurant is the brand’s first in Warren County. It features a unique takeout featuring the Eagle’s menu and selected items from CityBird, Thunderdome’s fast-casual chicken tender concept.
The Eagle is conveniently located at the entrance to The District, near PINS Mechanical and directly across from the District’s open-air public park. Since The District at Deerfield is in a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA), guests can also get b**r, w**e and cocktails to go from the walk-up space. The Deerfield location debuts the next phase of The Eagle’s menu, featuring lighter, modern dishes with a Southern twist. However, its signature bone-in fried chicken remains the centerpiece.
“Deerfield gave us a chance to push the menu forward while still doing right by the fried chicken that built this brand. These new dishes are lighter and a little more modern, but they’ve still got that Southern soul our guests expect from The Eagle,” John Lanni, co-founder of Thunderdome, said.
“The Eagle, CityBird –and soon-to-open Pepp and Dolores – are exactly the kind of destination brands we wanted at The District at Deerfield, and their opening is a big step toward the entertainment hub we’ve planned for this site. We’re excited for the northern suburbs to experience what’s made The Eagle a Cincinnati staple,” said Ryan Silverman, vice president of Silverman amp; Co., The District at Deerfield’s developer.
“Watching The District at Deerfield come to life has been exciting for our whole community, and welcoming brands like The Eagle, CityBird, and Pepp & Dolores opening in November is a great sign of the momentum here. We’re glad to help officially open The Eagle with a proper ribbon-cutting,” said Kristin Malhotra, Deerfield Township Trustee.
The Eagle is joining a growing list of tenants at The District at Deerfield, a $150 million mixed-use development from Blue Ash-based Silverman amp; Co. The development also features Pins Mechanical Co., Fifty West Brewing Co., Jenis Splendid Ice Cream, Cafe Patachou, and 101 Craft Kitchen.
Thunderdome’s Pepp & Dolores will open a second location next door in early November, rounding out the new restaurant lineup. Together, The Eagle, CityBird and Pepp & Dolores are expected to add about 200 jobs. Welcome to Deerfield Township, The Eagle and CityBird!
