No, he was an actor. Yes, it was a TV show.
Nearly 55 years ago "Emergency!" hit the airwaves on NBC TV. Roy and Johnny kept us spellbound on Saturday nights as they rescued climbers, pulled people out of car crashes, swimming pools and collapsed builings, and one time even braved a loose tiger inside of a grocery store. They transmitted EKGs to Rampart General, adminstered Ringers Lactate, and monitored vitals as they transported immediately. There is not a First Responder, EMR, EMT, or Paramedic today who has not been influenced by Squad 51.

With all the snow we have recently gotten, please remember to clean off your fire numbers!
No one plans to have an emergency, but keeping your numbers clean helps first responders get to you in a time of need.
