At 1010hrs, 39 Engine 1 and Tanker were dispatched to 704 Avenue K in Matamoras Borough for a reported residential structure fire.

Engine 1 arrived on scene and secured a hydrant, stretched one line to rear of the residence, and finished extinguishing an enclosed porch fire. Crews also performed overhaul and assisted with ventilating the house.

Thankfully a patron of a nearby business noticed the flames and knocked the fire down with an ABC extinguisher, keeping it in check until the arrival of fire department personnel.

Great job by all involved to keep damage limited and confined to just the porch!

Today we had the pleasure of joining Assistant Store Manager John and team over at the Lowe's Home Improvement here in Westfall for their annual fire prevention event!

Your Westfall Volunteers had the Squad and Ambulance 1 on display for the kids to see while Lowe’s had a table setup with arts and crafts.

After the event wrapped up, we were very thankful to receive a donation of a new dishwasher for our kitchen!

We can’t thank John enough and appreciate Lowe’s for supporting their local volunteers!

Yesterday around 1700hrs the Squad, Engine, Ambulance, and 33 Rescue were dispatched to the area of the Exit 53 Westbound offramp I-84 for a reported two car motor vehicle accident with rollover and entrapment.

Units arrived on scene to find one patient entrapped in the rolled over vehicle and multiple patients out of both vehicles.

Crews extricated the entrapped patient, transferred patient care to the awaiting ambulance, and controlled fluids before the removal of the vehicles by Lords Valley Towing.

19 Ambulance 1A and 2A assisted on scene and provided transport to additional patients while 33 Rescue assisted with scene cleanup.

This proved to be another example of teamwork between multiple agencies to provide the services that citizens deserve!

Like we said the other day, a little rain isn’t going to stop us! 🚒☔

Our Open House is still happening today from 11 AM to 2PM, and everything will be held indoors with the exception of our vehicle extrication demonstration around 12:30 PM.

So don’t let the weather keep you away! Stop down, meet our volunteers, check out the equipment, learn some fire safety tips, and spend some time with your local fire department.

Today Station 39 completed our second of two annual burns for the year, polishing skills related to engine and truck company operations.

Great weather, great training, and a great morning all around.

Thank you to the Port Jervis Fire Department and the Milford Fire Department & EMS, Station 33 for providing coverage to Westfall Township while we were at the training center.

Joining us for the morning were firefighters from the Sandyston Township Fire Department Station 38, the Matamoras Fire Department Station 32, the Colesville Fire Company, and the Bushkill Volunteer Fire Company (burn techs).

Great job by all!
