🌟 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 🌟

From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, VA joins the nation in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and recognizing the rich history, culture, service and contributions of Hispanic Americans.

This month provides an opportunity to recognize the many ways Hispanic Americans have helped shape our nation and to thank the Hispanic Veterans who have served our country.

📚 Did you know?
The national observance began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week and was expanded to a month-long observance in 1988. Sept. 15 marks the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, with Mexico and Chile also celebrating their independence during the observance.

Join us in recognizing and celebrating the history, achievements and contributions of Hispanic Americans.
