The Mathis Police Department and San Patricio County Sheriffs Deputy responded to Gonzalo Park in reference to a shots fired call. Multiple calls were received of multiple shots fired in the area. Law enforcement made contact with several people and no information was received as to where the shots were being fired from. It’s believed they came from an area outside the park. There were no injuries reported and at this time there is no further information. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Mathis Police Department. Citizens can remain anonymous. The Mathis Police Department is committed to keeping our community and citizens safe.
