We appreciate the hard work put in by Arthur Fire and Ambulance and Arcola Fire Protection District with our landing zone and patient care the other day. It’s teamwork like this that ensures everyone’s safety and ensures smooth transition with patient care. Great job everyone!

We are a little delayed but we would like to thank Arcola Fire Protection District for their assistance with setting up a landing zone on Monday!

This is why we train!

Last week our base along with Air Evac Lifeteam 39 - Brazil, IN were invited to Horizon Health to assist with training on dual landing zone setup at night at their hospital.

Last night our base along with Air Evac 39 were requested by Horizon Health EMS for a scene flight with two patients. The landing zones were setup on Horizon Healths campus using the main helipad and a secondary LZ that was setup on the north side of the primary pad. The patient care and coordination provided by every service involved last night was top notch which helped this scene and patient transfer run smoothly.

My name is Kyle Deitrich, and I am married to my best friend, Nathalie. Together, we have five amazing children Ava, Austin, Alivia, Cora, and Maximus.

I have had the privilege of spending nearly 20 years serving in the United States Army as a Combat Medic. My military career has provided me with invaluable experiences in patient care, leadership, teamwork, and working effectively in high-pressure environments. I have continued my healthcare career at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, where I have worked in both the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, caring for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.

Outside of healthcare, I enjoy traveling, working out, spending time with my family, and relaxing by the pool. I am extremely grateful for the experiences that have brought me to where I am today and excited to continue my journey in healthcare. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and skills while continuing to serve the patients and communities in which I live.
