You’ll hear night operations from the 115th Fighter Wing tonight! Just an FYI!

📢 The 115th Fighter Wing will be conducting night flying operations tomorrow evening, October 8, concluding at approximately 9:30 p.m.

As we shift our typical daytime flights to the evening, residents may hear additional flying activity outside of our routine daytime operations.

This training is required to ensure our Airmen’s readiness to operate in all conditions, and we will continue to follow flight paths designed to minimize noise to area residents.

Today our office worked with CPKC to bring Vehicle Response Training to our first responder groups in Juneau County.

This training highlighted the inherent dangers associated with EVs and Lithium Ion batteries, especially the off-gassing that can occur from impacts to the battery packs in these vehicles.

We appreciate the working partnership with the railroads in the county! And the training that they have provided to our first responder groups.

We also want to thank Mauston Fire Department for use of their station for the train and Log Cabin Deli and Market for the dinner that was provided!

Good day,

See the attached graphic from the National Weather US National Weather Service La Crosse Wisconsin for the potential of flooding. Remember if roadways are flooded, do not drive through them, turn around.

Widespread rainfall continues into this evening, becoming heavy at times tonight into Saturday morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are possible with some locations possibly seeing 4 inches or more. Where the heaviest rain will fall is somewhat uncertain, but local flooding and river rises are expected where it does. Make sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings tonight as the heaviest rainfall is expected after dark!
