New Chiefs buggy alert. We welcome a 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV to the fleet. It got lettered up a couple of weeks ago and goes in 2 weeks for it's lighting conversion package. Stay tuned for more updates.

We have had a very productive week here at the Maybrook Fire Department. This week at drill we did a tool lab on all the tool on our Rescue 214. The member both new and more seasoned got to see and refresh themselves on what is on the truck and how to use it.
This weekend to start off the month of August we were at the New York Air Show. Brush unit 212 and 24-UTV were on site. Brush 212 stood by with several other brush and fire units up at the hangers and 24-UTV was part of the EMS response and extrication team. All crews enjoyed the day and the show.

On behalf of the Chiefs, Line and Civil Officer's, our firefighters and Board of Fire Commissioner's, we wish to extend our sincerest heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of this great man,. A family man and a man with integrity, retired police officer for OC Sheriff's, Town of Montgomery, Villages of Maybrook and Walden PD, and a trustee for the Village of Maybrook, a man who loved this Village he lived in. Billy, may God guide you with open arms and may you rest in eternal peace. We continue to keep his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of Village of Maybrook Trustee William "Bill" Treco.

On behalf of the Village Board and the entire Village of Maybrook community, I extend our deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Leslie, his sons, Billy and Connor, and the entire Treco and Wentink families during this difficult time.

Bill was a dedicated public servant who cared deeply about our community. His commitment to the Village of Maybrook and its residents will be remembered with gratitude and respect. His service, friendship, and unwavering dedication have left a lasting impact on our village.

As a mark of respect and in honor of Trustee Treco's service, all Village of Maybrook flags will be flown at half-staff beginning today, Saturday, July 25, 2026, and will remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of his burial, when they will be returned to full staff.

Please keep the Treco and Wentink families in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn this tremendous loss.
