Panther Pride in Action: JAG-K Hosts Annual Induction & Initiation Ceremony
Last night, our Jobs for America’s Graduates-Kansas (JAG-K) program celebrated a major milestone as students were officially inducted into the Career Association during their annual Induction & Initiation (I&I) ceremony.
The Career Association serves as the student-led organization within the JAG-K framework, helping our youth develop essential leadership, civic, and professional skills. The evening was filled with student achievements, inspiring words, and community connection.
Event Highlights:
• Welcome Address: Azarias Teetzel opened the evening with a warm welcome speech to families, staff, and peers.
• Leadership Council Introduction: Binx Kitchkommie introduced the newly selected Officers and Leadership Council members who will lead the chapter throughout the school year.
• Guest Speaker: Former Highland Park JAG-K Specialist and current regional substitute Vern White shared inspiring words on perseverance, personal growth, and career readiness.
• Student Recognition: Each participating student was officially inducted and presented with their membership certificate.
• Interactive Success Craft: Students created personalized "Formulas for Success" using glass bottles filled with beads, glitter, and pom-poms—each item representing specific goals and positive traits for their future.
• Reception: Attendees concluded the celebration with pizza, snacks, and fellowship.
We are extremely proud of our JAG-K students for taking this step in their leadership journey and look forward to seeing all they accomplish this year.
