Did you know that the measles virus is highly contagious?
When exposed to someone with measles, up to 9 out of 10 people who are not immune may become infected.
Measles spreads through the air when an infected person coughs, sneezes, and breathes, and it stays in the air for up to two hours after the infected person has left.
In order to stay protected from the measles, vaccination is recommended and highly effective. Contact the Graves County Health Department at (270) 247-3553 to make an appointment!
