Purchase Area Development District PADD is a partnership organization that supports local governments in Kentucky's Purchase region. The PADD is a distributor of USDA commodity foods. The U.S.

We create opportunities for area leaders to connect, share common concerns, and develop innovative solutions to local and regional challenges. Imagine a Day Without Water.

From the smallest moments of childhood to the essential services our communities depend on, water touches nearly every part of our lives.

Today, Thursday, Oct. 15, marks Imagine a Day Without Water, a national day of action highlighting the importance of clean, reliable water and the infrastructure that makes it possible.

Across Kentucky, aging water and wastewater systems present challenges for communities working to protect public health, support economic development and maintain reliable services.

That’s where Kentucky’s Area Development Districts come in.

The commonwealth's 15 ADDs work alongside local governments and utilities to identify infrastructure needs, prioritize improvements and pursue funding opportunities through a variety of federal and state programs, including those administered by the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority and USDA Rural Development.

From initial planning to project development, ADDs help communities turn infrastructure needs into actionable projects.

The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security is hosting a Cyber & AI Workshop + Tabletop Exercise at Purchase ADD in Mayfield on December 8.

The training will cover current cyber and AI threats and include a tabletop exercise on a cyber incident. Participants will receive 3 hours of EM credit and 3 hours of DLG credit.
