To wrap up National Fire Prevention Week 2026, the Mazomanie Fire Department, Dane County Sheriff's Office, Dane County District One EMS, and Black Earth Fire Department hosted the Wisconsin Heights 6th grade class for our 4th annual Joint Public Safety Day.

The day consisted of students rotating through various breakout stations aimed at teaching valuable life safety lessons, learning more about the jobs of public safety officials and first responders, and strengthening team dynamics and communication skills amongst classmates.

A special "Thank You" is extended to PJ's Pizza Cross Plains and Carr Valley Cheese Mazomanie for their generous donations providing lunch and snacks for the students, staff, and first responders!

Mazomanie Volunteer Firefighter and Reach-a-Child Visit Saturday, October 17, 10am-noon

Come to Black Earth Children’s Museum to meet our local firefighters from Mazomanie Fire Department. They will be visiting on Saturday, October 17th from 10am- 12pm. Learn about fire safety and get a close-up look at a fire truck. It’s a perfect time to learn more about what firefighters do and to say thank you to our volunteers. Reach-a-Child will also be visiting the museum at the same time. Good for all ages. www.blackearthchildrensmuseum.org

8/22/26 MZFD 160 Years Anniversary!
Today Mazomanie FD (MZFD) is honored to be celebrating 160 years as a FD!
Please join us in celebrating at the Pavilion (next to the FD) tonight and enjoy a live free concert. MZFD will be recognized during intermission.

Please join us to celebrate the Mazomanie Fire Department’s 160th Birthday at our Mazo Live Concert, August 22nd @ The Pavilion.

Sharp Dressed Men hits the stage at 7PM, and we will host
a recognition for the MZFD during intermission.

The Mazomanie Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank you" to Michael Habada and Prairie Painting Services for being willing to donate his time and materials for the painting of our training structure. Our firefighters have already put in many hours honing skills and refining operations while using this training prop that we consider ourselves luckily to have!
