October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. đź’ś

Domestic violence affects people of every age, background, and community. Awareness helps us recognize the signs, support survivors, and remind those experiencing abuse that they are not alone.

Let’s choose compassion over judgment, listen without blame, and help create communities where everyone can feel safe and respected.

Speak up. Listen. Support.

October is a time to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support those affected by breast cancer.

Take a moment this month to prioritize your health, learn about recommended screening options, know what’s normal for you, and talk with your healthcare provider about any changes or concerns.

To everyone currently facing breast cancer, survivors, caregivers, and families: you are not alone. đź’—

Let’s spread awareness, support one another, and keep the conversation going—not just in October, but all year long.

Today, we recognize Law Enforcement Su***de Awareness Day and take a moment to acknowledge the emotional weight that can come with serving and protecting others.

Behind the badge is a person, a family member, a friend, and a human being who may sometimes struggle in silence. Asking for help is not a weakness—it’s an important part of taking care of ourselves and one another.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma around mental health, checking in on our officers and their families, and making sure no one feels like they have to face their struggles alone.

Check in. Listen. Support. Speak up.

STOP FOR SCHOOL BUSES
When you see a school bus stopped with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, STOP and remain stopped until the bus has finished loading or unloading students and the signals are no longer active.

If the road you are traveling on has three or fewer lanes, traffic in both directions must stop for a school bus.

Yellow lights mean SLOW DOWN. Be prepared to stop because the bus is getting ready to stop.

Red lights mean STOP. Come to a complete stop and wait until it is safe and legal to proceed.

Watch carefully for children getting on or off the bus.

Be alert for children who may cross the road in front of or behind the bus.

Never pass a stopped school bus when its red warning lights are flashing.

Stay stopped until the bus has moved on and the red lights have stopped flashing.

Slow down. Stay alert. Stop for school buses. Protect our children.
