💗🚒 McCook Fire Department Goes Pink for October! 🚒💗

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the members of the McCook Fire Department are proud to stand with everyone affected by this disease.

Throughout the month, all of our members will be wearing our new shirts on duty and out in the community.

We wear them for the survivors who inspire us, for those still in the fight, and in memory of the loved ones we've lost. 💗

Twenty-five years ago today, we lost nearly 3,000 lives in an act of unimaginable tragedy. But amid the darkness, we also witnessed extraordinary courage — first responders who ran toward danger, strangers who became heroes, and a nation that came together in grief and resolve.

Today, we honor the victims, their families, and every firefighter, police officer, and EMT who gave everything that day and in the days that followed — including the 343 FDNY firefighters who never came home.

To our brothers and sisters in the fire service everywhere: we carry their memory with us every shift.

Never forget the lives lost. Never forget the heroes. Never forget the unity we found in our darkest hour.

🇺🇸 Never Forget – 25 Years Later

Throughout the month of September, members of the McCook Fire Department will proudly wear special 9/11 25th Commemorative T-shirts in honor and remembrance of all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 — including the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We remember. We honor. We never forget.
