The Signature That Makes It Official
A document is only as strong as the signature behind it. A notary is what makes that signature count.
Most people don't think about a notary until they're holding an important document and a deadline. A power of attorney, a real estate closing, a vehicle title, a sworn affidavit: each one needs an impartial, trained witness to confirm who signed and that they signed willingly. That's my job.
I'm Dr Chip Pepitone, a professional notary public serving McCormick County and the surrounding area. I'm here to make the process clear, quick, and stress-free.
What a notary does
Verifies the identity of the person signing
Confirms the signer understands the document and is signing willingly
Administers oaths and affirmations
Applies an official seal that other parties, agencies, and institutions recognize
Documents I can help notarize
Powers of attorney
Affidavits and sworn statements
Real estate and property documents
Vehicle title and transfer paperwork
Contracts and business agreements
Authorizations and consent forms
Before you come in
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID.
Bring the document, but don't sign it yet. Your signature must be witnessed.
Make sure the document is complete. Notaries can't notarize blank pages.
Have all signers present.
One important note: A notary verifies identity and witnesses signatures. We can't give legal advice or tell you which document you need. For that, please consult an attorney. What I can promise is a professional, accurate, and confidential notarization every time.
Skip the guesswork and the last-minute scramble. Bring your ID and your document, and I'll take it from there.
