MES has had an amazing week! GT Artistic Auditions, Donut Book Tastings, Students talking about goals, and many, many more wonderful experiences. Our faculty and staff are the best and they are "Growing Great Minds!"

Next week:
MES students are allowed to participate in the MHS Homecoming Spirit Week by dressing down/up. See the flyer.
Monday is the School Board Meeting at 6:00.
Monday after-school clubs meet: Legos and Chorus
Tuesday is Good News meets after school
Second grade will be completing their Iowa testing on Tuesday and Thursday.
Wednesday is an Early Release Day. Students dismiss at 11:30.

Congratulations, Deputy Bryant! We appreciate all you do for MES!

📢 - CONGRATS SRO BRYANT

- Please help us congratulate SRO Deputy Trek Bryant as he was awarded the M.C.S.O. Third Quarter “Most Outstanding Deputy” Award. Trek does a wonderful job at the Elementary School and is always willing to help out in any way. We are lucky to have him on our staff and can’t thank him enough for doing his job and doing it well! Congrats, buddy!!!

Check out this upcoming community event hosted by United Way of the Lakelands.
United Way of the Lakelands is hosting the Heart of the Community Family Fest as this year’s annual campaign kickoff. This event is free and open to the public and will include games, snacks, and activities for all ages.
Each year, United Way of the Lakelands hosts a campaign kickoff to celebrate the impact and work happening throughout our communities and to launch the fundraising campaign for the upcoming year. This year’s theme reminds us that change starts at the heart of the community, and the Family Fest is an opportunity for us to come together, connect, and celebrate the communities we serve.
We encourage you to bring your friends, family, and neighbors and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship!

Good morning, Fifth Grade MES Parents and Guardians!
We have some exciting news to share. Please help us to welcome Mrs. Becky James as a new 5th-grade teacher at MES! She will be joining Ms. Anthony. She will be here tomorrow, ready to meet you and your child for parent conferences at your scheduled times. See the attached letter for more information.

We hope you are enjoying your intercession and the cooler weather! As a reminder, Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for tomorrow, October 6. If you have not yet scheduled a time to meet with your child's teacher, please email them to reserve a time slot. Parents will receive report cards at the meeting, along with other valuable insights and updates regarding their child's progress.

Students will return to school on Wednesday, October 7.
