πŸ…πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ A PROUD MOMENT FOR McCORMICK COUNTY! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ…

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Major Jason Budreau, K9 Deputy Cody Robinson, and Deputy Caleb Mitchum on receiving the prestigious Commander’s Award for Public Service from the Department of the Army!

These well-deserved awards recognize their extraordinary courage, bravery, and dedication to serving others following their response to a reported drowning on July 4, 2026.

The incident occurred on property owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. During last night's McCormick County Council meeting, Corps representatives, including Chief Ranger Henry Way, presented these distinguished awards in recognition of their actions.

πŸ‘ We could not be prouder of these three outstanding officers! Their willingness to respond in dangerous circumstances and their unwavering commitment to protecting and serving others exemplify the very best of law enforcement.

Please join us in congratulating Major Budreau, K9 Deputy Robinson, and Deputy Mitchum on this tremendous honor!

Your courage, dedication, and service make McCormick County proud! πŸ’™πŸ–€πŸ’™

Today, McCormick County employees stepped away from the daily hustle to read to the children at McCormick Head Start Center. We shared The Marvelous Adventures of Countyland, created by the National Association of Counties, and gave each student a copy to take home.

We hoped to bring smiles to the children and introduce them to some of the people who help keep our county running. But the day gave our employees a meaningful reminder of why we serve McCormick County. We left with joy in our hearts, smiles on our faces, and a renewed sense of purpose.

A heartfelt thank-you to the McCormick Head Start Center for welcoming us, and to everyone who joined us and helped bring this idea to life. You made this Clerk to Council’s dayβ€”and helped us give back to the children who are our future. We look forward to more opportunities to connect with our community!
