Ahead of this Friday night's graduation ceremonies, we are sending this communication to let you know of our bag guidelines/bag check requirements and venue entry notice for all events.

To expedite entry into the venues and for the purpose of public safety, friends and family members are strongly encouraged not to bring bags of any type. However, if bags for carrying items are necessary, the following types are encouraged:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap

All bags will be subject to search/review, and bags that are not clear will require hand inspection to enter the venue.

All graduation ceremony guests are encouraged to allow extra time to accommodate entrance procedures.

We recognize that this is a new procedure for HCS graduation ceremonies, and we apologize for any inconveniences the timing of this notice may cause. We are committed to safe and secure environments for our end-of-year ceremonies and this special day for our graduates.

Yesterday, HCHS alumni and previous faculty participated in the final Hawk Walk for Henry County High School.

Last night at our Underclassman Award Ceremony, 13 juniors were recognized for being in the top 5% for 3 years of high school. They were awarded with the Georgia Certificate of Merit.

Cady Studios - Select Your School

Calling all Henry County HS Alumni! The end of an era is close at hand as the last class to graduate from Henry County High School (as it is known) will receive their diplomas on May 24. Before then, there a few ways to commemorate and celebrate the history of HCHS. Please spread the word! See the information below:

On May 17th, Alumni of Henry County High School are invited to participate in the “Alumni Hawk Walk.” Alumni will meet in the HCHS/AAS Community Room (114/116) at 2:00pm for refreshments and fellowship. Beginning at 2:45pm Alumni will be led on one last walk through the halls of Henry County High School. If interested in participating, individuals must RSVP to Joanie Snow at [email protected]. The first 200 to RSVP will receive a keepsake to commemorate the event.

On July 30th at the ribbon cutting ceremony for McDonough High School, we will also be sealing a time capsule to commemorate the end of the Henry County High School era. We are seeking artifacts to include in the capsule. Please contact Joanie Snow at [email protected] with questions. The deadline to submit artifacts will be July 16th, 2019.
