Our student-athletes had a great night at the HCS Athletic Awards Ceremony!

Wow, our Mustangs really represented our school and community well tonight at the HCS Athletic Awards Night Ceremony. We had a number of outstanding nominees - all of whom were incredibly deserving. Our winners tonight included: Kyleigh Gutierrez - HCS Female Cross Country Athlete of the Year, Jamari Jackson - Exceptional Flag Football Athlete of the Year, Jeremy Reagin and AJ Baxter - Positive Athlete, Lyla Leonard - HCS Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year, Colten Gardner - HCS Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year, Beckham Mahaffey - HCs Boys Soccer Player of the Year, Tucker Robinson - HCS Male Golfer of the Year, Xander Dossett/Tye Daniel/Gabe Easey - HCS Wrestlers of the year, and Meredith Wesley - HCS Gymnast of the Year!

More positive news for OHS! Progress over multiple years is atttributed to the consistency in our incredible staff and the hard and work and determination of our students.

A total of 26 HCS schools were recognized as “Beating the Odds” by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement for having higher CCRPI scores than demographically similar schools across Georgia. Ola High School was also one of only five high schools in the state to receive the Greatest Gains Platinum Award for being in the 99th percentile statewide based on the last three years of CCRPI Progress scores. We are of these students, teachers, staff, and families for their exceptional achievements!
