This Thursday The Henry County Extension Office Farmers Market will be held under the Jason T Harper Arena from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We will have many local vendors selling many products such as fresh produce, baked goods, and other items. Come out and support your local Extension office and small businesses!!! We look forward to seeing you on Thursdays throughout the Market season.

Beyond simply telling kids what to eat - through fun, practical, and accessible nutrition education we will empower them to make smart choices independently. Through our NEW Summer Activity "Healthy Snack Glow-Up: Smart Eating for Big Energy" we are investing in our children's learning of how to enjoy nutritious foods without feeling restricted.

UGA Extension helps equip food service professionals with the knowledge needed to protect public health and reduce food safety risks across Georgia communities.

We are offering a two day program for one of our ServSafe Manager Certification Class on July 28th-29th, 2026 at 8 AM to 3:30 PM. It is held at Henry County Exxtension Office: 97 Lake Dow Rd, McDonough, GA 30252

It includes full course, study materials, up-to-date book, and exam for those two days.

These are our FACS program events being held for the rest of this year. We have some programs coming up such as our food preservation workshop: pickling kosher dill with 3 spots remaining! $20.

Our next ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification is on July 28th to July 29th as a two day program. $150.
