They might've taken away our building, our gyms, and even our murals on the gym walls.... but they can NEVER take away our MEMORIES!!!

Reminder. An alumni event is scheduled for THIS FRIDAY, May 10th at Henry County Middle School. Any former basketball player, coach, or cheerleader who would like to participate in an "alumni game" is invited to attend. The game is scheduled to take place at 2:30pm and last til about 3:40ish. Depending on the participation, we plan to have graduates of "even numbered years" play against graduates of "odd numbered years.

Hey fans, did you know!?!??!?! Spring sports are now underway! Our track teams finished 2nd on Wednesday night at the meet at Eagle's Landing Middle. Tonight, for the VERY FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY, HCMS fielded a 7th grade volleyball team that fought awfully hard at Ola Middle. Our 8th grade team lost to the Ola's championship team of year ago, but displayed tons of "Hawk Pride"! Here's hoping you'll look at the school website at https://www.henry.k12.ga.us/hcm and come support these great teams in the coming weeks and months as they represent the very best in our school! WAY TO GO, STUDENT-ATHLETES!! We know the sacrifices you make to represent the Black and Gold!

Thanks to all who came to this week's homecoming game! Our 7th grade season is complete. Our 8th grade team is off next week but should find out about their playoff game location by next Wednesday. Stay tuned and GO HAWKS!

The 2016-2017 school year will be here before you know it! Did you get your physical this summer? If so, get ahead of the game and bring a copy of it to Open House on Thursday, July 28th, from 3 to 5pm! Make sure to give your paperwork to either Coach Smith or Coach Sanders. Having all of your paperwork on file before any athletic tryout period is an excellent way to show your prospective coaches that you're serious about becoming a reliable HCMS student-athlete!

This is a Public Service Announcement for ALL potential student athletes entering the 7th and 8th grades at HCMS next year (Our advice is to get this taken care of BEFORE Fall tryouts begin if you'd like to play football, softball, or try out for cheer-leading!).................

All Children Entering 7TH GRADE: Vaccination Requirements:
Effective July 1, 2014, The Georgia Department of Public Health requires children who are attending seventh grade, and children who are "new entrants" into eighth through twelfth grades to have one dose of Tdap vaccine AND one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccination (MCV4). Contact your health care provider to receive any needed vaccinations and to obtain the Georgia Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231).

It's always a great day at Henry Middle Athletics. Today, we celebrate our track teams. The county has come and sprayed weed-killer in problem areas to insure the safety of our student athletes. Sprint on guys and gals!!

HCMS volleyball begins next week with a season opener against Eagle's Landing on Thursday, March 10th, 5:30pm. Come support the Lady Hawks with five returning players from last year's team and plenty of promising newcomers!

Best of luck to our 7th grade girls basketball team as they try for our school's 5th championship in that sport tonight!! The Lady Hawks will take on Woodland at 5:30pm at Eagle's Landing Middle School. Go get em' girls! !!!!!
