Mission Statement

The mission of the Parks & Recreation department is:

1. To develop and maintain park facilities and grounds while providing year-round activities, programs, and special events for leisure and wellness pursuits of Henry County residents.

2. To assist in acquiring property for the continued development of the park program. The Therapeutic Recreation Division will provide Henry C

The Watering Can Mentoring Program will start on June 7. We apologize for the confusion. Families should have been contacted, but due to a miscommunication, the contact did not go out. Enrolled families will be contacted by email and phone this week.

In the meantime, there are still a few spots open. Register for this summer's Watering Can at www.hcprd.org.

The Village Park Splash Pad (750 Fairview RD, Ellenwood) will be open today and tomorrow! There's no cost to enjoy it!

(In the event of rain, the Splash Pad must be turned off to avoid filter contamination from rainwater. If this happens, it will be turned back on once it has been confirmed that the rain has moved on.)

12:30 pm: The splash pad has been temporarily turned off due to a sanitation incident. It will turn back on at 3:30 pm.
