UPDATE-0957 Hours- owner name located. We are in the process of reuniting these fellas to the owner

PSA-Hello friends and neighbors! These two Pups were found wandering around the Riverside intersection about 20 minutes ago. The retriever has a microchip, but it wasn’t registered and there are no tags on either dog. They’re currently hanging out with us and we’d like to get them back to their owners as soon as possible. Anybody have any idea who they may belong to? If you do, please contact 911 at 724-548-5105 ASAP. We don’t wanna take them to the shelter, but if we can’t locate an owner in a reasonable amount of time, we have no other option. Thank you all!

UPDATE. School lockdowns lifted. Normal dismissal and busing resumed. We gratefully thank all the citizens who have stepped up and provided tips!

PSA. There is increased police activity in the area of the 1200 block of Ross Avenue. Officers are working the scene. Several individuals fled from officers upon arrival and we are actively looking for them. We have the area contained. We do not believe there is additional danger to the community. Lenape Elementary was put on modified lockdown just as a precaution. We ask residents to avoid the area and also call 911 if you see suspicious people running through your yards There will be no further comment on this at this time as is an active investigation and manpower is at a premium.

PSA- Attention Parents (and this goes to the adults that this applies as well) E bikes, bicycles, or any other type of wheeled conveyance is not permitted on the basketball courts at Fort Run Park. Significant time, effort and Grant money was used to beautify the park and we’re going to keep it that way. Consider this your only warning as citations will be handed out to violators. It’s not our intention to issue citations right off the Bat, but it’s come to that point.

UPDATE- dog owner has contacted. The PD and this pup has been returned safely home. Thank you everybody for your assistance !

Hey everyone! So I went out for a walk today, broke my chain and I forgot where I live. I was found running around traffic on Main Street and old 66 between Speedy’s ice cream and gardas restaurant. (wasn’t sure if I wanted the flavor of the day at Speedy’s or the chicken marsala at Gardas-either one would’ve been good with me) I do have a microchip, but my owner hasn’t contacted the nice policeman, who I’m currently riding around on patrol with, to come and pick me up. Does anybody know who I belong to? if you do call 724-548-5105 and ask for Township Police. In the meantime, I’m gonna be riding around the township on patrol just chilling with my boys at the PD. These guys got some pretty cool treats!
