In the 1940s, the need for the library's own building was becoming clearer. Originally opened in McHenry High School in 1936, then moved to City Hall for a short time, the fundraising efforts of the McHenry Mothers Club would eventually result in the library obtaining its own building. Want to know what happened next? Check out the full presentation on our website.
