Congrats to David Taylor of Munhall, who recently hooked a state record Channel Catfish, according to the PA Fish and Boat Commission.
Taylor caught the record-breaker Oct. 3 in the Tri-State Hawg Hunters fishing tournament on the Allegheny River. His catch weighed in at 36 pounds, 2 ounces, exceeding the previous state record by 9 ounces. Read more here from the PFBC:

I encourage you to stop by my free shred event this Saturday, Oct. 24, to safely dispose of papers with sensitive information. It's a great way to protect your identity.
Just bring them to the McKeesport High School parking lot from 10 am to noon. Feel free to call my office today with any questions at 412-664-0035.

I secured a $25K state grant, working with Sen. Nick Pisciottano, for the Munhall Police Dept. to purchase new equipment. As a former McKeesport police officer, I understand the needs of our local law enforcement and I'm happy to help meet those needs.

Looking forward to our senior expo tomorrow, Oct. 22nd, which I'm hosting with Sen. Nick Pisciottano at the McKeesport Palisades from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We'll offer health screenings, flu shots, and a prescription take-back with Allegheny County Sheriff's Office – plus door prizes and refreshments!
For more information on this free event, call my McKeesport Office at 412-664-0035. Hope to see you there!

Happy to report that $2 million in new state assistance has been awarded for six worthwhile projects in our district. This funding will address blight, food insecurity, and youth safe spaces.

I enjoyed touring Centennial apartments, a 55-plus facility in McKeesport today. It was renovated by Brandon and Heather Kucich, pictured together here. A great local project, and yet another sign that the Mon Valley is moving forward!

Pleased to report that a state grant of $342K has been awarded to West Homestead Borough for development of West Homestead Park. Our parks and green spaces are vital to our quality of life, and this is just one way we keep the Mon Valley moving forward.

Proud to stand with IBEW Local 29 along Lysle Blvd. in McKeesport yesterday. These men and women deserve fair wages and safety measures in place for a safe work environment.
