Medical City Plano launches advanced ECMO program to save cardiac arrest patients Medical City Plano is using advanced ECMO technology to give cardiac arrest patients a second chance at life, becoming the only mobile ECMO-CPR center in North Texas. The lifesaving program can dramatically improve survival rates for patients whose hearts stop beating.

ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) is an advanced life support therapy that temporarily takes over the function of the heart and lungs for critically ill patients.

Together with Medical City North Texas, Med 2 has completed more than 250 ECMO transports since mid–late 2020—delivering this life-saving care when it matters most.

We’re excited to partner with Melissa Fire Department and Medical City Plano to better serve our community and expand access to life-changing ECPR cardiac care.

Med 2 had the opportunity to work with Prosper ISD for their Stop The Bleed training this weekend.
