I have been at the early voting poll in Garland all week. I was encouraged by many thumbs up as folks passed by me holding Katrina for Congress sign.
While speaking to willing folks, one lady went out of her way to not speak with me on her way in to the polling place. (A lot of folks just do not want to be bothered...I respect that and did not force myself on anyone, as I saw other politicians & supporters do) The lady voted and went to her car. Then, she came back to me. She said, I already voted and I did not vote for Katrina cause I didn't know her. But I am bothered...please tell me about her now.
I did. She apologized profusely, asked for information to give to her neighbors so they would not make the same mistake. She said maybe I can make up for my mistake.
I share this...so you will share too! Tell your friends and neighbors NOW before it is too late. Be informed!

The candidates also differed on the issue of immigration.

Pierson supports a constitutional amendment to address the issue, in part so the states can have input. Sessions backs a guest worker program under which those in the country illegally could keep their jobs and pay taxes but not obtain citizenship. Pierson said she opposes any legal status for those here illegally.
