🚨 Firefighters need your voice NOW.

H.R. 6644 (Housing for the 21st Century Act) would allow single-stair residential buildings up to 5 stories — forcing firefighters and evacuating residents to share the same stairwell in an emergency. That means more congestion, slower rescues, and greater exposure to smoke and fire for everyone involved.

The IAFC already got this provision removed once. The House put it back in. Now it’s in front of the Senate again — and we need fire service leaders to speak up.

✅ Visit the IAFC Action Center ✅ Send a prewritten (or customized) message to your Senators ✅ Tell them: buildings over 3 stories need multiple means of egress

Protect your crew. Protect your community. Make your voice heard.
