Yesterday, October 22, was Wear Purple Day!💜

We wore purple to bring attention to domestic violence and show support for survivors. Domestic and sexual violence remains a serious issue in Fairfax County, and we're grateful to Fairfax County Department of Family Services for their outreach, support, and advocacy programs to reduce instances of domestic violence .

We wear purple as a reminder: you are seen, you are supported, and you are not alone.

If you are struggling with domestic or sexual violence, please do not hesitate to view available County services here.

Thank you to our Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Carrie Chenery, for dropping by yesterday's Council for Economic Opportunity meeting. We all enjoyed the conversation, and I was particularly interested in hearing an update on work related to Executive Order 3 "Lowering the Cost of Housing by Increasing Supply."
