Yamhill County CASA

At CASA, we like to say, “It takes a village,” and with events like the Miller Woods Trail Run, it truly does!

Thank you to everyone who came out to run, walk, volunteer, and cheer! We had so much fun spending the day with you at Miller Woods.

A special thank you to our presenting sponsor, The Ground Market, and all of our sponsors, in-kind donors, and partners who made it possible. So many of our sponsors are also McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce members, and we’re grateful for the support of this local business community!

Whether you hit the trails or helped behind the scenes, you were part of supporting children and youth in foster care in Yamhill County. Thank you for showing up!

We’re wrapping up our sponsor spotlights with four more local businesses helping support this year’s Miller Woods Trail Run!

We’re proud to recognize our Community Sponsors: Hagan Hamilton Insurance Solutions Jana Polivka - Realtor , Momentum Chiropractic + Sports Medicine, and Alpine Fitness.

Their support helps us create a great race-day experience while raising funds for Yamhill County CASA and the children and families we serve.

Thank you to these four local businesses, and to every sponsor who has helped make the return of the Miller Woods Trail Run possible. We’re almost to race day!

💜 Oregon Youth Su***de Awareness Day 💜

Today, we honor Oregon Youth Su***de Awareness Day.

A simple conversation, a listening ear, or letting someone know you care can make a difference.

Check in and make a connection with the young people in your life. Let them know they matter and that life can be a lot sometimes, but they are not alone in their struggles.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please know that you are not alone. It’s okay to ask for help, and support is available.

📱 Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.

Today, we also honor the memory of Mikalynn Jayde Morris, whose life and legacy inspired Oregon Youth Su***de Awareness Day and House Bill 3643, establishing October 9th as an annual day of awareness in Oregon.

As mentioned at the LoveLikeMikalynn vigil this morning, you do not need to be a mental health counselor to make a difference, you just need to be a human that cares.

Together, we can help create a community where every young person feels safe, supported, and knows they are never alone.

💜 You matter. You are loved. You are not alone. 💜
