Carry on.
This week was hard. Many of us poured our hearts into a commissioner race because we believe Yamhill County deserves leaders who value public land, public access, and the future of the Yamhelas-Westsider Corridor.
The results were not what we hoped for.
But this work was never about one election. It has always been about something bigger: protecting what connects us, standing up for public land, and making sure the people of Yamhill County have a voice in what happens next.
So we carry on.
TRAILS PAC is still moving forward with the referendum and our countywide initiatives. We still believe the public should have the final say. We still believe this trail is worth fighting for. And we still believe that the future is watching.
Thank you to everyone who knocked doors, made calls, donated, hosted signs, collected signatures, talked to neighbors, and refused to give up.
Take a breath. Hold your head high. Then keep walking with us.
The trail ahead is still ours to protect.

This election is about more than politics.
It’s about the kind of county we leave to the next generation.
Our public lands connect our communities, support local economies, and create places where families can spend time together for years to come.
The Yamhelas-Westsider corridor connects us to our history, to each other, and to future generations. It creates opportunities for families to walk, ride, explore, and experience Yamhill County together.
On May 19, voters will help decide what kind of leadership guides the future of public land and community voice in Yamhill County.
TRAILS PAC is proud to support Neyssa Hays and John Linder for Yamhill County Commissioner.
