100% of the proceeds, minus the cost of materials, will be donated directly to the families of the victims.

McPherson, we see you hurting. We see the pain these families are carrying, and we are hurting alongside you. This community has always shown what it means to come together, and now is the time to show up once again.

McPherson EMS has partnered with Mimi’s T-Shirts to launch a T-shirt fundraiser in support of the families and victims affected by the tragedy at Stryker Sports Complex. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the families impacted.

In the midst of such unimaginable grief and heartbreak, we want to recognize and thank our community for the overwhelming love, compassion, and support shown over the past several days. The way our community has come together to support our neighbors, friends, and families is a powerful reminder of what makes McPherson so special. We have witnessed firsthand the strength, generosity, and unity that define this community.

We are incredibly grateful to Mimi’s T-Shirts for partnering with us to make this fundraiser possible and for helping us find a way to support those who need it most.

Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts go out to everyone in our community affected by today’s tragic events in Wichita.

In times like these, I believe the strength of our communities truly shines. We come together, support one another, and stand beside those who need us most.

If you are struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to, please reach out. You do not have to navigate difficult times alone.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and gratitude to the Wichita first responder community. Your courage, professionalism, and dedication in responding to such a tragic event do not go unnoticed. You faced circumstances that no first responder ever hopes to encounter, and your service and sacrifice are deeply appreciated.

As we move forward, continue supporting one another. Check on your friends, neighbors, and loved ones. Be mindful that those around you may be carrying struggles we cannot see.

Our hearts are with everyone affect, the families, and every first responder involved.

A huge shout-out and thank you to TC Door Company!

A couple of weeks ago, during the heavy rain and winds, one of our large ambulance bay doors took a beating. As crews were trying to close the doors, both lift cables came off their rollers and wrapped around the winding bar, leaving the door stuck halfway closed.

Our crews were ultimately able to remove the lifting cables and manually close the door, but the damage meant that bay, and the ambulance inside, were temporarily out of service.

We reached out to TC Door Company that evening, and they didn't hesitate to help. A technician was scheduled to meet us the very next morning, Sunday at 8:00 AM.

They showed up as promised and had the door repaired and back in service in under a couple of hours, allowing us to get the bay and ambulance back into normal operations.

We can't say thank you enough to TC Door Company for being willing to come out on a Sunday and get us taken care of so quickly. Having local businesses willing to step up when we need them makes a difference, and we truly appreciate it!

This is the type of care and dedication we strive to provide to every patient, every day.

For us, caring for someone goes beyond treating an injury or illness. It means recognizing the person behind the patient, understanding what matters to them in that moment, and finding ways, big or small, to make a difficult situation a little easier.

We’re proud to see our Director recognized for demonstrating the same compassion, service, and commitment that we encourage throughout McPherson EMS.

Congratulations to Will Moore, recipient of our 5-Star CAREgiver Award!

Will was nominated by a patient who was involved in an accident while delivering packages. As they were being transported to the hospital, they were worried about the packages they still needed to deliver. Will stepped in and offered to return the packages to Walmart so the patient could focus on what mattered most: getting better.

It’s often the little things that make a big difference. Thank you, Will, for going above and beyond to care for our patients and our community!

Remember A Shift’s project???

Well… THEY FINALLY FINISHED IT! 🏁🔥

Over the course of 4 shifts, the crew completed 5 bags worth of Lightning McQueen parts 🚗💨 — with their ONLY instructions coming through the radio!

This fun training exercise was designed to highlight just how important clear and effective radio communication is in EMS. Radio operations can be an underrated skill in this career, but when the pressure is on, clear communication can make ALL the difference.

We’re proud of A Shift for taking on the challenge, sticking with it, and putting their radio skills to the test! 👏🏼

Now the real question… who’s ready for the next project? 👀🏁

WOW, McPherson... you absolutely showed up!

After 3 incredible days of collecting school supplies, here's the final result... 11 overflowing totes filled with supplies for local students in need! 📚✏️🎒

In fact, your generosity was so overwhelming that we had to get MORE totes to hold everything! We started with 6 totes!

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, or stopped by to support the drive—thank you.

Because of this amazing community, this was our biggest School Supply Drive yet!

We are so grateful for your generosity and can't wait to see what we can accomplish together next year. ❤️🤍

🚨 LAST DAY, LAST CHANCE, McPherson! 🎒✏️

You all absolutely crushed it yesterday! 🤩 The support from this community has been incredible, and we can't thank you enough.

If you haven't had a chance to stop by yet, today is your final opportunity to help local students get ready for the school year! We'll be at Walmart from 2:00–7:00 PM collecting school supplies for our Back-to-School Donation Drive.

Let's finish strong and fill those carts one last time! ❤️📚🍎

Today, A-Crew traded the ambulance for a box of LEGO bricks to sharpen one of the most important skills we use every day, clear communication.

One team member acted as the "dispatcher," providing only verbal, step-by-step instructions while another crew member assembled the pieces without seeing the instructions. The exercise required patience, active listening, precise communication, and teamwork, skills that directly translate to emergency response, patient care, and working together under pressure.

I'm happy to report they successfully completed Bag 1 of the build!

The challenge isn't over yet, though. We'll see how many more shifts it takes A-Crew to finish the entire car. Stay tuned for updates as the build, and the teamwork continues!
