Hello, Mead folks! As of last Saturday, we can add a brand new public library to the list of resources for families! Please come by (13815 Chaparral Street - in the Liberty Ranch neighborhood) and say hello to us!

We are just launching, so our programming offerings are going to build up over time, but we already have a variety of programs for kids and teens happening!

The winter story time session starts Monday, October 19, with story times Monday through Thursday at 9:30 am!

The first Thursday of each month after school, we have dedicated activities for tweens (ages 8+). All other Thursdays after school, there is teen programming. On October 30, there's going to be a Dead Beats Zombie Party for teens only (registration on our events calendar at www.mylibrary.us (search by the Mead building)!

The 1st and 2nd Wednesdays of each month at 4:00, we have International Snack Club and Let's Draw (respectively) for elementary-aged kids, and we'll be adding much more children's programming in the new year!

We hope you all can come by and meet us and enjoy our new Mead Library!

See you at the library! 😀

Great tips to remember when you're riding your bike to the library this fall!

Whether you're exploring Mead's neighborhoods, parks, or trails, practicing safe riding habits helps protect you and everyone around you.

• Always wear a properly fitted helmet.
• Ride in the same direction as traffic and obey all traffic signs, signals, and speed limits.
• Be visible by wearing bright clothing, using lights in low-light conditions, and signaling your turns.
• Be courteous on shared paths and sidewalks. Slow down, announce yourself before passing, and give pedestrians plenty of space.
• Know your e-bike. E-bikes are heavier than traditional bicycles, require a longer stopping distance, and can be more difficult to control, especially with a passenger.

By riding responsibly, we can help keep Mead's streets, sidewalks, and trails safe for everyone.
