🚦 Traffic Signal Work – Carlisle Pike & Silver Spring Square

Please be advised that work will be taking place at the traffic signal located at Carlisle Pike and Silver Spring Square on Thursday, October 8th.

The work will include the installation of a new foundation at the traffic signal island, in preparation for the placement of a new signal pole. The signal pole currently needs to be replaced after being damaged earlier this year during a vehicle accident.

⚠️ Lane restrictions may occur while this work is being completed. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the intersection and be aware of workers and equipment in the area.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this necessary work is completed.

Silver Spring Township is asking for your help to protect our parks! Unfortunately, we’ve experienced repeated vandalism at Paul Walters Park and our newly developing park areas, costing taxpayer dollars that could be used for other community projects.
🎾 Court Closures & Rules:
Tennis & Pickleball Courts: CLOSED until the park's grand opening in late October. Unauthorized use has already damaged entrance gates.
No Wheels on Courts: Bikes, scooters, skateboards, and e-bikes are not permitted. Tennis/pickleball courts are for their sports only, and basketball courts are for basketball only.
🚻 Paul Walters Park Restrooms:
Portable restrooms have been repeatedly vandalized. If this continues, the Township may have no choice but to permanently remove them. Security cameras are planned for the future.
🚨 See Something, Say Something!
If you witness suspicious activity in any park, please call the Silver Spring Township Police Department at 717-238-9676 or dial 911.
Thank you for helping keep our parks safe and clean for everyone! 🙏✨
