On a solemn day 25 years ago, Virginia ABC agents rose to the occasion. Several groups of agents responded to the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

14 Virginia ABC agents were recognized by then-governor Jim Gilmore and the ABC Board for their actions. A plaque is currently installed outside Virginia ABC Headquarters in Mechanicsville.
