Today, the members of the Mechanicville Police Department pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the victims, the first responders, and the countless acts of courage and sacrifice shown on that day and in the days that followed. More than two decades later, we still remember, and we will never forget.

Lest we forget.

The Mechanicville Police Department is proud to congratulate Officer Amy DiSiena, who graduated today from the Zone 5 Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy following six months of intensive training.

Officer DiSiena will now begin the next phase of her training, an extensive Field Training Program where she will work alongside experienced Mechanicville officers as she prepares for independent patrol.

Born and raised right here in Mechanicville, Amy knows our community and the people who call it home. We are excited to have one of our own begin her law enforcement career serving the community where she grew up.

Please join us in congratulating Officer DiSiena on this accomplishment and welcoming her to the Mechanicville Police Department!
