The members of the Medford Fire Department extend our deepest condolences to the Suffolk County Police Department on the sudden and heartbreaking loss of one of their detectives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the detective’s family, friends, loved ones, and every member of the Suffolk County Police Department during this incredibly difficult time. We stand with our brothers and sisters in blue as they mourn the loss of one of their own.

May you find strength in the support of one another and comfort in the memories shared. Rest in peace, Detective. Your service and dedication to our community will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Medford Fire Department’s Annual Fire Prevention Night! It was an amazing evening, and it’s always great to see so many members of our community come out for a night of fun while learning important fire safety tips.

A special thank you to Legislator Dominick Thorne and Legislator Nick Caracappa for sponsoring this year’s event. Your continued support helps make community events like this possible.

We’d also like to thank all of our dedicated members who volunteered their time to educate the public and help make the night a success. And, of course, thank you to all of our friends, families, and community members who came out and participated—we truly appreciate your support!

Remember, October is Fire Prevention Month, and every day is a great day to practice fire safety. Test your smoke alarms, review your family’s escape plan, and stay fire safe!
