A huge thank-you to First Medina for hosting our "Support is Everyone’s Job" event this week! ❤️
They welcomed our foster families and staff with a delicious dinner, served by their volunteers, provided childcare so foster parents could fully participate in the training, and went above and beyond with thoughtful gift bags for our foster families and a fantastic gift for each staff member who attended. We felt incredibly welcomed, appreciated, and supported!
"Support is Everyone’s Job" is a campaign focused on strengthening communication and building support between foster parents and staff. Our staff participated in their portion of the campaign in June, which included hearing directly from a foster parent panel. This week, it was the foster parents’ turn to hear from a staff panel.
We heard from staff about what brought them to child welfare, the challenges they face, and the rewards that keep them going. Most importantly, we were reminded just how many amazing people we have on our team who genuinely care about helping children and families in Medina County.
And there was one thing that came through loud and clear: Just like fostering, child welfare work can be challenging—but the rewards far outweigh the challenges. 💙
Thank you, First Baptist Medina, for not only hosting us but for making our foster families and staff feel so valued and cared for. Your generosity is a beautiful example of what Support is Everyone’s Job is all about!
