Brevard Homeless Coalition, Inc BHC is the Lead Agency for the Brevard CoC and is working together for a housed & healthy Brevard. Together, we are creating a housed and healthy Brevard.

The Brevard Homeless Coalition (BHC) was established in July 2015 with a mission to make homelessness a rare, brief and non-recurring experience in Brevard County. We are a 501(C)3 non-profit, membership-based organization designated as the Lead Agency for Brevard’s Continuum of Care (CoC), our homeless system of care. The BHC manages federal and state housing and services funding, coordinates local and national advocacy and planning efforts, and administers the Homeless Management Information System, our local information technology system which tracks and measures our success as a CoC. We collaborate with communities and agencies throughout the County to help provide critical interventions to Brevard’s homeless individuals and families and those vulnerable to homelessness.

🎉🏡 WE GOT IT!! NEARLY $9 MILLION FOR BREVARD COUNTY!

After more than two years, three applications, and a whole lot of determination… WE HAVE SOME INCREDIBLE NEWS! 🙌

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has officially awarded $8,999,760 to Carrfour Supportive Housing through the Continuum of Care Builds (CoC Builds) program!
That's nearly $9 MILLION in federal funding over the next FIVE YEARS to expand Permanent Supportive Housing right here in Brevard County!

🏡 WHERE WILL IT GO?
This investment will support two housing developments:
📍 Apollo Gardens — Titusville
📍 Heritage Park Phase II — Melbourne

❤️ WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
For individuals and families experiencing homelessness who have disabilities, finding a safe, affordable place to call home can be incredibly challenging.

Permanent Supportive Housing helps change that by combining affordable housing with ongoing supportive services that help people remain housed, improve their health, and build more stable futures.

Because housing is about more than having a roof overhead.
It's about stability, dignity, better health, and the opportunity for a brighter future.
And Brevard County needs more of it!

💙 THIS ONE IS ESPECIALLY MEANINGFUL!
Our journey began in 2024. After three applications, a previous award selection that was never finalized, and more than two years of persistence, we FINALLY received the official award notification!
And here's the exciting part…

Our final award is approximately $3 MILLION MORE than our original funding request! 🎉

We are incredibly grateful to Carrfour Supportive Housing, Congressman Mike Haridopolos and his team, and the many community partners who helped make this possible.
This is what happens when a community comes together, stays committed, and refuses to give up on creating lasting housing solutions.

🏡 Nearly $9 million. Two housing developments. Five years of investment. A lasting impact on Brevard County.
Together, we're building a more housed and healthy Brevard County! 💙

Housing Solutions. Healthy Communities.

🎉 WE GOT IT, BREVARD!! 🎉
