Melrose shines through the eyes of Clementine Hunter!

Coming up on November 6th, the Alexandria Museum of Art will reveal its newest exhibit, "Life as Opportunity: Clementine Hunter." A multitude of original Clementine Hunter pieces from the Ann & Jack Brittain Family Collection will be on display! This is a rare chance to see so many of Clementine Hunter's works in one place and to further learn about how the artist viewed her home, Melrose.

After you view this remarkable exhibit, be sure to head north and see the artist's place of inspiration itself here at Melrose! We have several of Hunter's original pieces on display, including her massive African House murals. They are truly a sight to behold!
