I am deeply honored to have received the 2025 Nicole Craven Distinguished Service Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers West Tennessee Branch. It is special to me since I had the privilege to work with Nicole on the Board and she was such a proponent and dedicated leader for our branch. It is a pleasure to work with all of the wonderful people on the board.

On February 26, 2025, Dr. Louie Lin of the Surface Water Institute presented a PowerPoint presentation on the City of Memphis Storm Water Management Manual for the ASCE West TN Branch February meeting. The meeting was held in the Sabbatini Lounge on the campus of Christian Brothers University. The event was very well attended and Dr. Lin did a wonderful job in presenting the changes to the manual.

Congratulations to the following honorees who were recognized at the 2020 Engineers Week Kickoff Luncheon on February 12, 2020. Professor Gene McGinnis, PE (Far Left) was recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers (West Tennessee Branch) as its 2020 Featured Engineer. Dr. Louie Lin, PE (Center) was recognized by the Gadomski School of Engineering as its 2020 Featured Engineer. Brian King, PE, a CBU ECE graduate and engineer with Fisher & Arnold, was recognized by Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (Memphis Chapter) as its 2020 Featured Engineer. In addition, Brian King was the recipient of the 2020 Award of Excellence from the Memphis-Area Joint Engineers Council. More about these honorees will be posted in the coming days. Congratulations!

Professor Gene McGinnis (left) received 30-Year Service Award from Dr. John Smarrelli (right), CBU President, at the 2019 Employee Appreciation Day. Congratulations!
Professor McGinnis, PE, was CEE Department Chair from 1999-2008 & 2012-2018. His other leadership roles include Chair of the Memphis-Area Engineers Council and President of the West TN Branch of ASCE. He was named Peter G. Hoadley Outstanding Engineering Educator by the TN Section of ASCE in 2010.
